WE ARE TRAINED PROFESSIONALS

WHAT WE DO IS DANGEROUS

WE ARE USING OPEN FLAME!

DO NOT TRY ANYTHING OF WHAT WE DO!

Soul Fyre Productions is proud of having a "zero-accidents" record. Safe, sane and sober are our motto, and safety is our utmost concern. Every individual member of our troupe has personal and property insurance for every fire performance. The clothing we wear is also flash and flame proof.

During all performances, trained fire-safeties supervise at all times. They are equipped with fire blankets (duvetyn), fire extinguishers and other fire proof gear. Fire-safeties supervise every performance by monitoring open flames, ensuring tools are put out properly and are kept away from fuel, and overseeing the safety of the crowd. Their duties are to make sure that if an accident does occur, it is resolved quickly and reliably.

Finally, we abide by legal regulations regarding fire performance. Soul Fyre works with local departments to draw up proper permits and legal contracts prior to each performance. With that in mind, shows must be booked with some lead time to ensure adequate time to file permits and process the paperwork. When we perform, there must also be a roped off area to separate the artists from the crowd.

Remember, fire performance is the illusion of danger. We are professionally trained artists who adhere to the safety guidelines outlined by the National American Fire Arts Association. Please don't try any of this at home!

Fire is to be respected at all times, so the art of fire may always be enjoyed.

OUR CURRENT FIRE SAFETYS

Fire Safety: Shaggy

Shaggy

Don't let the blue mohowk and loud mouth fool you. Shaggy is a trained fire captain and a licensed wild-lands fire fighter. With a degree from Hocking Collage, he is not only trained to put fires out but how to properly start them as well. He is our head fire safety.
